Days and hours of operation

The Primary School, kindergarten through 5th grade, is in session late August through late May. Students attend Monday through Thursday from 8am to 3pm.  Busing is provided by residing districts.

The Preschool is in session from early September through late May.  Preschool is divided into two sessions, morning and afternoon. Students attend Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  The morning session is from 9-11:30am.  The afternoon session is from 12:30-3pm.

Ages of children enrolled

The Primary School follows compulsory school age requirements with a cut-off date of September 1st for kindergarten (5 years old).

The Preschool enrolls 3, 4 and 5 year olds.  Children must be 3 ½ by the start of school and completely potty trained.

Statement of Nondiscrimination Enrollment Policy

Leatherwood Academy does not discriminate against its students or families.  Neither are required to profess Christianity, but they are required to read and sign the Tenets of Faith. This ensures that our families are aware of our theological beliefs and what will be taught in our Bible classes.
